I have a 95' 240sx with an RB20det. The wiring harness was done by McKinney Motorsports and everything is hooked up, and when I tried hooking the battery up the starter spins but doesnt kick out to the flywheel. Im not sure why it spins, the keys are not in the ignition and my friend and I went back over all the wiring. The grounds are good and the starter was tested again and it's still good. Im thinking McKinney motorsports did a rush job on my harness so Im thinking about taking it back off and sending it back. Anyone have any ideas I could try before that or have any experience with this problem? Thanks!

Yep thats exactly what it was, The power to the starter was hooked up to the grounding post on the selenoid, and not only that but another power source was hooked up to the positive post on the selenoid. I called Mack at McKinney Motorsports and he walked me through the harness and got me back on track, now I know to go to the experts instead of doing what my "gearhead wannabe" friends tell me. Thanks for the reply!
