240 with a R33 motor swap
i have an eclipse gst pushing 300 hp and am getting kind of sick of it and was thinking about getting the 240 and putting a R33 motor in it. JDM has a font clip set that includes the motor, turbo, fmic and pipping, ecu, wireing harness, trany, driveshaft, axles, cross member, pullys, basicly everything u will need to put the motor in for 4 grand shipped to my door. I was wondering if there are any other things i might need to replace. Is the R33 motor the way to go since it is 2.5 where as the R32 is 2.0. I have not researched the silvia motors verymuch. Is this the right move to make. If anybody has done it let me know what they think or how it went.

You need to be more specific. For starters each Skyline since the R32 has had at least 2 motors that were sold in it (and the R32 has seven for goodness sake). Just saying R33 motor isn't sufficient as there were 4 engines for the R33. Engines are not identified by chassis. You'd do well to put more thought and research into your "project." As regards the question at hand, I'd say to definitely go with the RB25 swap although it will not just be a plug and play app if that is what you are hoping for. Looking back I should have gone RB but meh.

R33 RB25DET i guess i dont want to much of a hard time putting it in, when u say some work what do u mean, taking out ac and stuff i dont mind that. What motor would u say if i wanted a plug and play, but good power
