I saw that too.....poor 240 I just don't get or appreciate the whole dropping a V8 in things like 240's, 300ZX's, RX7's, and the like.

Nothing says "I inbreed" more than the "that there rotary thingy (substitute 4 banger, foreign car motor thing, etc) is just plain ol complicated. Lets drop us some big american iron in that car and pick up some chicks! Get err dun!"

Sheesh....what is the world coming to? Keep with the motor from the respected manufacturer. Like stated earlier, doing something like that to a 240 is like banging your sister. Stupid people.

Not a V-8. Its a V-6, still don't support those kinda things, but does look a little cool and a bit ricey at the same time...geeze...can cool and ricey be used in the same sentence? Whoa!

yeah that was poorly done, but ive seen some well done V8 swaps into 240sx and 300zx and the car hauls a$$. There was a section on a Z32 with a turboed V8 and it was a very well done swap.

and what about all the 240z's with chevy 350 small blocks in them. Im not a huge fan of them but those cars are so fast.

I dont like that swap but i do respect the clean well done v8 swaps.

I don't know man. Here are some pics of the "well done" Z32 with the Turbo V8 swap.....

Looks ok after that, then you see this.....holes in the hood aren't too clean

How about a car that hardly clears the ground, and not because of some crazy suspension, but because things do not fit right..

An interior picture....

Car run's 10's. A TT can do that.

Nissan's should have nissan motors. Honda's should have honda motors. Chevy's should have chevy motors and so on.

Nothing really clean about a V8 (or like the one on ebay V6) swap into a 240 and in Z32's its just plain stupid. The VG30DETT makes as much power stock for stock as a 5.7L.

Smart, tasteful, clean and powerful > stupid, simple, gay, and pointless every single day.

i didnt see the interior and bottem pics. i remeber seeing the engine bay and it lookd clean from there.

I dont think i would ever do it because there are better engine out there. Its just im not gonna hate on the guy if they spent time and effort and made somthing look really good and perform well.

But that 240sx and now that Z32 are not clean.

Im just saying i do like the change up from the tradional SR into 240sx, and so on. Its nice to see a clean swap but these guys apperently did not.

I know what you are saying that some of these are pointless and just poorly done and why would you do somthign like that. But if they do a clean job ill respect it

There's a CRX around here with a 350 in it. Only time in which I would accept the idea of doing engine swap with a different company is if you get the motor for free. By the time get all the custom parts and get everything to fit you'r making same power if not less as if you just upgraded your current same company engine.

it's the transmission...the dreaded turbo 350...very strong, but man it's a power robber....I'm betting a DOHC S13 would take it by a car length or better...

wait, wait....it's totally worth it...if you look hard enough, you'll see it's got the ultimate weight reduction...

The small-block Chevy V8 or Nissan/Infiniti VH41 or VH45 are great swaps for any lightweight coupe or roadster (see also: Monster Miata).

I dont have a problem with a V8 into 240 or 2nd gen RX7. My friend has a RX7 with a 400 in it. I liked it. It could be better but, hey.

Anyway, a 4.3, would suck. I agree on just tossing the spray to the KA and being done with it. Cheaper, probally faster, and save on gas.

Not all 4.3's are crap...lets not forget the Typhoon's turboed 4.3. I met a guy that had one, and he could hold his own against some of the tuned Supras and Z32TT's, that is till his truck caught on fire after a fuel line ruptured. After that, he swapped in a de-stroked 454ci which made it somewhere near a 438ci. That was a nasty motor.

i agree, the SMB is a good, stout motor and dumped in a small car, it would be a ground pounder. but im still not a huge fan of it. the thing that really gets me is the nastiness of the engines....it looks like they just pulled the 350/268?(4.3) out of their blazer/silverado and dumped it in with nothing inbetween. i've seen some NICE Z swaps, like darius or the scarabs. those guys took the time to clean the engines, as well as the car before sticking them in. nothing like taking out a dirty engine from a dirty engine bay, spending the time to get custom stuff done, and dump a worn dirty engine back in there.
