I've only had my 240 probibly 4 months. I've got an SR20DET that is suposed to be in the US on the 10th, Blitz FMIC on backorder, JUN Flywheel in the garage with a Koyo radiator, clutch, 300zx filter exc. Today my 240 met a bronco :(

I still feel like throwing up. I was so excited this morning... now... it's like getting your a$$ kicked in front of your old man or something...

that blows, but I totally fell your pain. My SR was in my garage for a week and I was just waiting on few parts to come in before I dropped it in. Then I got smacked up by this guy in a F-150 who ran a stop sign. It's not the end of the world though, I took the money the insurance gave me and bought another 240 with a blown motor for ~$1000, that had a nicer body than my old car. And with the money left over I got an upgraded turbo:)it was a PITA swapping all the suspension and breaks that I put in the old car, but in the end...well I guess it all worked out

Weird. Out of all the accidents that I've almost got into (never actually gotten into one due to my cat like reflexes :P) about 2/3 or them have involved broncos. It's like they're compact car seeking missiles.

my cat like reflexes luckily got me away from T-Boneing the guy head on, to luckily just getting hit on my passenger side. and then barely regaining control to get out of the oncoming trafic in the next lane.

haha, I just noticed that the pic you posted was of the damage to your car. when I heard bronco vs 240 I just figured your car was totaled. Bro, I know it sucks, but from the looks of it a body shop will have it back to new in a few days. while you are waiting for the SR parts just get the body work done, no big deal.

You could just replace the panel. They sell panels pretty cheap at 1autobodyparts.com.

yah i took it to a body shop... couldn't acutially drop it yet because her insurance company hasn't acknowledged liability quite yet but they said that they would cut the pannel off and replace it with a new one... the part over the tire that folds under was actially ripped at both ends and flipped out. Also the hit is right on the line that runs down the car and they said that woudl never be right again unless they replaced the pannel.

I'm glad i filed a police report... sounds expensive. And no there was no structural damange thankfully! My already broken power antenni might get replaced tho! I guess good things do come...

My ex girlfriend backed into my 96 with her del slow right between the gas cap and the bumper and it cost 2k. A whole other quarter panel. She paid for it out of her own pocket. I felt soo bad for her but it was my car. I took it to service king and had it back in less than a week. If you want a lot of money from the insurance go to service king for the estimate. They are always high on estimates. I should have made her spend another 300 for paint matching my bumper. It never has matched and everyone ask me about it. You should be able to take it to any body shop. Dont be suprised if they total the car.

lol, those whores won't total my car. It is only worth like $0.10 to an insurance company, I just want to have my car look nice and purty, I want a full paint job, not just that thing fixed.

Nope i didn't get a $ estimate yet because her insurance company hasn't spoken to her yet. I am going to fight it if they total the car. How many perfect metallic blue non SE notchbacks do you see? None around here anyway. Plus it's a 93. I will be really upset if they don't pay to fix it.

True. I am gong to try to get a stock sopiler as well. I'll let you guys know how that goes. I'll definately pay for that but it should be worth it. Does it just screw into the decklid or is there more to it?

thats not bad then, and as far as a spoiler, it doesnt just 'screw in', but its not MUCH omre complicated, you will have to drill through you're trunk/hatch or whatever tho, thats the bad part, but im no professional so contact someone else for porper info, all i know is you'll have to drill, thats what kept me away from spoilers
