I was just wondering if anyone here had experience with V8 swaps?

Alright i dont even have the car yet, but I'm thinking of buying a Datsun 240z, and putting either a LS1, LS2, or a 351 stroked out to a 408.

Before i buy it i wanna know what I'm getting myself into. Is there any company's that make after market conversions to make this any easier? How much custom work will i need to do?

I currently have a high 12 second mustang and I'm tired of being slow so I'm planning on building a car in the near future and hoping that this will be a fairly cheap build... can anyone help with some info? Thanks for your time if so/not!

Use the search Function. Some say these swaps are easy, others say they're hard. It all depends on your mechanical skills.

most domestic V8 swapped S30's prefer the SBC, the ford has certainly been done plenty but requires a bit more work to mount it, as far as I know there si not "kit" it's pretty simple to fab up some mounts if you have the slightest bit of mechanical aptitude and a welder
