I recently swapped my 1991 240sx from auto to manual after i blew my automatic transmission. After i finished the whole swap, the car would start fine, however, would not have a constant rev speed when not moving. Slowly the problem got worse, with the car shutting off if i did not keep my foot on the gas, cuz the revs just went high then low back and forth when not moving. Finally, i turned the car off one day. and i havent been able to start it again. I did some research and havent been able to decide what the problem is. I might need a new starter, but the electric boxes all click when i try to turn on, as well as the starter. I have a new battery, and i cleaned my battery terminal lines as well. I still have my auto ecu in the car, but i feel that that is not the problem. I heard that it could be the solenoid inside the starter, or the ignition switch on the side of the starter... any help would be greatly appreciated.
