I have a 92 240 sx that started missing on the number 1 cylinder the other day. I could pull the spark plug wire on the 1 cylinder and the car ran the same as if hooked up. I also pulled the number 1 injector plug and no change either.

The car would at least run on three cylinders

So like an idiot I pulled the number one injector and cleaned it with some carb spray. put it back in and it ran as normal for ten minutes and then back to the misfire

So i pulled it again and soaked it in gumout over nite

Installed it today and the car would not turn over at first and when it did it ran awful...backfired with blue smoke coming out of the exhaust...stalled when I backed off to idle

So i replaced that injector with one from a junkyard. Car won't start. Installed a second jy injector, car won't start, back to the original injector, car wont start

Could I have air trapped in the fuel rail

I replaced the gas filter. I checked each plug and have spark. I also checked the timing and its right on the money

Any ideas ?

It's flooded with gas for sure, you can clear that by pulling the fuel pump real/fuse and crank it. then try it again. Do you have new plugs?
