Will an engine from a 1996 240 SX fit and run in a 1992 SX SE edition

Both are automatic transmissions

Yes , Im running that setup. Use the 92 wiring, ECU, you will need to use the 92's lower intake manifold ,but try to use the 96 upper intake manifold if you have it,because the 95+ motors dont have the restricting butterfly valves inside of it, this means better flow. you can buy the intake mani gasket kit at advance auto for $30. You will also need to use the 92 distributor.
Google any questions you have its been done a million times. And its definitely time to look up the 240sx FSM (factory service manual), it will tell you everything you need to know.
