240 sx rack and pinion pressure line

Does anyone know what the thread style and size is for the center fitting on the rack? 89 240sx. i need to get an elbow for it and dont know what size it is. Has any one every tried pulling the fitting off the rack itself and welding another style to it? nobody is probably this crazy but I would probably try it once. The dang thing has a 3/4 long connector on the rack then a 1.5" pressure line connected to that. Its pretty crazy. I need to make it .5" shorter.
