does the car shut off when it hits 0 or does the car still run???

if it still runs, your wiring on your cluster is messed up.

if it dies, check for vacuum leaks, check your mafs, etc. lots of info out there about these cars not runnin

something like that happened to me too. i replaced my MAF sensor and it fixed the problem. try replacing the MAF it might work.

If I'm not mistaken, a bad battery wont fully charge even if the alternator is in good condition. So when you press your brakes, let's say at a stop light, your tail lights use up all your sweet battery juice and the car dies.

Yeah that's probably not his problem but w/e.

Plus, before you go checking any sensors or electronics, you have to check if the battery/connectors is any good in the first place.
