240 SX power windows

Any of you guys have any luck changing out a power window motor? Does the entire window and regulator have to come out to swap it out?

If I can remember correctly that is a yes. Its not that hard really when you figure out how it works. But I guess that is a how everything is.

Thanks DGA - after finding out a shop wanted $500 for the job I dug into it. Not that big of a deal really. Damned thing is though, when I got the motor on the bench it worked fine. Cleaned up the whole mess and put it back together and all's well. Go figure.All the same - I think I'll keep it rolled up for awhile!
