Hi all,

I just joined the forum and am looking for some advice as to how I can increase the performance of my 1989 Nissan 240SX SE. I wanted to start out with some bolt on's specifically, cold air intake, headers, and exhaust. Any advice on the best approach to take and brands to use would be appreciated. Thanks!

u ever planning on swapping the motor or putting a turbo on it? cause if so, itd be kinda a waste to do any of that.

Performance enhancements? lol

but I wouldn't recommend anything expensive, because you really wont make any power with those simple bolt ons.

You can do a few things to make it more "peppy" but don't expect any large gains in HP.

If you can get a ka24de in there for cheap, then do that. Wether you swap it to ka24de or not, here are some things you can do to spice it up:

- Get good spark plugs
- Good Plug wires
- Do a full tune up
- Seafoam it (AZhitman did a great write-up)
- Cold Air Intake (A real one that goes down to the bumper)
- Headers
- A nice cat-back exhaust
- If you end up getting a ka24de, look into cam swaps.

You can get the car to be a little more lively by doing that stuff. But don't expect it to be super fast. It will be fun though!
