240 SX LE Convertible 93- to love it or list it?

Hi All,

I am writing to seek advice form you fellow 240 sxers...my lovely car-132,000 miles Nissan 240 SX limited edition convertible was lent to my family and some f the kids for a quick ride and was struck by a young driver truing left illegally...There is a lot of damage to right front side and insurance company has issued a check and will pay supplemental damages...just found inside frame and apron need work but no mechanical damage. this car was pretty immaculate as it has spent the first 20 years in CA but came back to Chicago with me.

It was stolen form my work in CA but found and the only damage was it needed a new roof and hood, that was done in 2012. I have leather seats added and it was complete repainted etc.

I have many folks leaving notes and following me trying to buy....so here is my question, if I can get 4k or so for damages repairs and then sell to a fan to fix up. Would that be most sensible course? I hate to give it up but winters in Chicago will have me needing to keep it garaged..it is my only vehicle and I am interviewing for jobs in Boston and other snow area...

Any advice is so appreciated!!

Photos of the damage? Take a look at my thread and see what kind of work I went through to get mine on the road. Well worth it in my opinion but then I have a Mach 1 on snow tires for the winter.
