240 sx build transmission question

so im going to have a lot of power in my 240 building a 10 second car. and I am wondering how well the stock 240 transmission is..i don't know s*** when it comes to transmissions..i want one that could take a beating and is ready for it. any input or suggestions would be appreciated

As long as you preload the transmission before every pass, you can reliably race in the 11s. The 10s are pushing it. Depends on power and driving technique. A solid upgrade is getting a Z32 transmission and running a mazworx adapter kit (or something similar). These are immensely strong and can run well into the 9 with no issues.
