Wow, look at all the extra room for hands and tools. Someone put a lot into that.

Anyway, welcome to nico!

huh, a lot of hicks around here call my SR'd 240 a "wannabe supra". I assume there reffering to Mk3 turbo's so yeah just thought this was kinda odd.

There's one way to find out... You'll just have to buy that coupe and try it yourself. Then you can tell us.

7M, good motor, bad head gasket, heavy car. I have seen a 2JZ in an S13, didn't look "like it belonged in there", more like some strange porno where you can't beleive it fits.

because Toys don't die, Nissans cough up their guts. It's a known fact. They put SRs in Hachirokus all the time, don't get your panties in a bunch.

I noticed some things that gave me a chuckle

Yeah the car looks really good, expecially the color, but that body kit is just ugly. It looks like a transformer or something haha

Perhaps it's just me, but that car looks better than most other S14s I've seen, and dropping a 7M-GTE in a 240....heh, I'd hit it pretty hard!

Props to whoever did that super clean job!

Toyota CT26. TO4B-ish I would theorize as far as power potential.

Yeah, same here, I saw it when I was shopping around for my new car.

Good Lord, look at that exhaust! I don't care if it IS turbocharged... I've seen elephants with smaller anuses than that, and there's two of them!

Anyhow, I agree with GrilledCheese. If you're going to swap, stick with the same make. This is like seeing a 351 in a Le Baron.

Nothing wrong with swapping a Toyota motor into a Nissan chassis. Sounds like wanna-be purists just wanting to hear themselves speak. Sure it may take more work than swapping in a RB, but the motor is more easily available in the US, and the power potential is up there right with the RB. Reliability on the other hand almost makes it worth the extra effort to swapping in the Toyota motor. Not only are they indestructable to anyone who isn't burning out for half a minute every other day and such, but the parts to replace what needs replacing are more available in the US. Now I know the popularity of the RB is growing, thus making parts more available, but this is a motor that actually came in a car in the US, and it's not 20 years old.

Mmm, I can't wait to swap a 2jz in a Cressida

That's a hella neat swap.

Do some minor exterior work, and clean up the swap a bit, and that'd be one sweet ride.

The only things I dont like about the 7M is its heft, tendency to blow headgaskets, and architecture circa 1978. Lots of potential, but I'd pick a early 90's 1jzgte over that if I were going to go through the trouble of putting a toyota motor in a nissan.
