240's Manufactured in Japan?

Hi I was unaware of the fact that alot of S14's were manufactured in Japan, I thought that they would be produced in Mexico/Canada/US. So were all 240's ever produced made in Japan or 93+ or what? Btw I did search.

well if you thought they were produced in Mexico/Canada/US Im sorry to say that but your a dumbass If you look at the VIN# you'll see the 1st letter will be "J" which means Japan.

and my car's final assembly point was LA....and VW makes cars in Mexico...and GM makes cars in Canada and Mexico...and Toyota makes cars in Kentucky. who cares? It's still a japanese car or american car or german car no matter where it's made. Just assume your car was made in japan or whatever country, because it really doesn't matter.

themadscientist, i bet russia has some surplus laying around you can buy with the rest of their rusting WWII and cold war military items. The illegals come in handy for changing a flat, but they don't last long. Best car made in mexico would be the old beetle, which they still make or stopped making recently. too bad US emissions and safety won't allow it in anymore.

So are you trying to say that I should have gone to a local dealership with a 240SX, and look at the VIN or hunt one down on the highway and pull it over, rather than just ask a question about it after not being able to find the answer through search?:rolleyes
