You forgot to mention in addition to the forum, every import magazine in print. UNFORTUNATLY (as far as I'm concerned), the 240 is growing in popularity by leaps and bounds as drifting becomes more mainstream. A more pertinent question, why does someone make a thread like this damn near every week?

well with the bad, comes good. the more popular they get the more benefits we get. parts will be cheaper, more information will be gained, and overall more companies will develop parts for our cars. i could give a flying **** what the retarded kid down the street does to his 240, as long as it benefits me. keep the popularity soaring, it will only prove beneficial in the end.

They WEREN'T popular at one time, now they are getting there. There are several threads on here about 240s in The Fast and The Furious, Redline(silvia/200sx cus its australian), and there are 240s in games like GT 3 and NFS Underground. Also, if you search e-bay you will find silvia, 180sx models from overseas and ocassionally actual USDMs(i think). I even saw a few 240 RC car bodys made out of lexan. just what I know.

i remember before i got my baby i would mistake a 240 for something exotic and have to take a second glance, never thought i would own one, just wish i got her without the body damage.

There is an S13 in PS2's Need For Speed, but it's hidden (like the rest of the "good" cars) ... ironic eh?

I love the fact the 240 is growing in popularity.. I've had my s13 for about 6 years now and have never really done any hardcore modding to it. I've always planned on selling it when I get out of school, and now the resale is slowly climbing. If i tryed to sell my car 2 years ago (and its in about as good of shape as they come) I would have just cleared blue book, now I can let her go for what I really think she's worth, in my eyes. Also, if i do decide to keep it for a track/project car the market for parts and development will be and already is far greater. Seems pretty win-win to me as long as you already own one. The 240 will never become the new civic so don't get that **** twisted!
