I just bought a new project car! A 1990 240 sx. Car runs hot and will actually boil over within about 6 miles of easy driving. It runs hot after just sitting in the driveway for a few minutes. Fan clutch is slipping a little. No fluids coming out from the block. It has a new radiator, Water Pump and Thermostat. I think that the head is bad, but I don't know enough about nissan motors to tell. Any ideas or recommendations. Thanks for any help!

if your fan clutch is slipping, replace it. you sure your thermostat is in correctly? flush the system before replacing with new coolant? you can get a pressure tester to test the system for leaks. if the "head is bad" you will be able to notice it.

An answer from out in Left Field.I had a Cavalir that would overheat in no time flat and it was the cat converter pluged up. Of course I also noticed lack of power etc. If all else checks out you may want to check the Cat. Converter.
