hope this hasn't been asked a million times before but if you did all these things would you have a monster car on your hands?if it has been done anybody know where to get some specs?

awd 240 quite possible. From what I gather , the Skyline's Front crossmember bolts right up. Which means a mounting place for the front diff. All You need now are front axles , Skyline hubs and struts ( which I'm told bolt right up). So not that big of a deal ( yeah right!!!).

If you have enough money to do a full RB26DETT AWD swap into a 240, I'd bet you have enough for another 240 :p

Didn't even clean the engine bay for the pics... weak.

Ours is using an R33 engine... and is very unimpressive right now pending fundage. Our turbo is bigger too

An AWD 240 would weight so much more it would not even be funny. I Think that all the money spent on makeing it awd, you buy a skyline. Thats just what I think, but I'm also kind of weird.

hmm.. whats a skyline front clip running for? like 4-8k depending on the car, awd kit will be like.. 2.5k and installation with the awd will be like another 2.5k? all together thats like.. 9-13k thats a freaking cheap mini skyline...besides the fact that motorex charges waaaay too much...(rumors have it that it costs 25k to import and legalize a r34)

anways id love to have my 240 turned into an awd beast... it would be soo much faster then my friends wrx sti wagan...

Good point Irax. It's not always the point of having the actual car. Plus, the Skylines are RHD, who wants RHD? Not me.. I have an SR powered 240sx. Why not just buy a skyline and go through a hassel trying to legalize it? Because it would be expencive and not worth it. Same as skyline. If i've got 20k I can make a mini unique RB26DETT AWD 240sx, or I can use it as a down payment on an actual skyline. Plus, it wouldnt increase the weight as much as you're acting like, maybe 200lb or so.. I don't know how much a skyline weighs but i'm sure it's more than 2800-3000lb.

Actually, I just looked, they seem to range from 3600-3900lb

So you honestly think RB26DETT + AWD will = 1000lb extra? It would still be much lighter than a Skyline even with a crazy weight reduction.

You could toss in two or three 15's on top of the RB'd 240 and still weigh less than a Skyline and be a lot louder. Not that that has anything to do with this...

AWD 240's would be badass, but i saw a thread over on teamnse.com they are all taking the US Stanza's and going with the GTi-R AWD clip, if anyone knows about a stanza, AWD SR'd stanza's would be quick.
