ok, I'd like to think I know 240 prices fairly well considering I've been looking to buy one for 6 months.... but I'm looking at this 240 and I'm not sure whether or not it's worth it.

The 240 is going for 5k, but the dealership said they'd sell it to me for 4,500. It's red, looks very clean, unfortunately it's in Kansas and I'm in MN. But my friend in kansas is going to check it out for me.

The car has a lease record as well as a lien sale record, which isn't too bad, but still isn't good. Other than that it has only 2 small scratches. It has no cd player, comes with stock casette/am fm radio and is just the base model. Do you think it's worth it?

haha, 96, sorry, and it's a manual.

I know kbb and edmund prices.... just wondering what others think. I think kbb is a lot higher than what they sell for and edmunds might be closer, but usually still off.

For a lower mileage SE, it'd be worth it.For a base, I'd say not.

probably not that good an idea, fairly high mileage, base model, would you have to go pick it up?

also remember that the dealer is trying to make money off of it as well, that car may only be worth $3k or so and they know it but theyre trying to make a $1500-$2k profit off it as well, thats why i wouldnt buy from a dealer

I don't think its a good deal.. My friend got his '95 with 80k and it is a SE for $6k.

I say keep waiting and keep looking for one. Someday you'll find a better deal.

You can always talk them down. If they ask you if you have a price in mind throw them a low price. Usually they will work with you. You can have it for about 4200 if you talk a good game.

Just tell them, "Well, it is a 8 year old car with over 100k miles." They might come down.

I bought my 95 a year a go with ~115,000 miles on it for $5200It was a company lease vehicle before the previous owner bought it. I've had no problems with it so i wouldn't let a lease/lein worry you.

$4500 isn't bad considering S14s are hard to come by.
