I dont want to break too much bank on paint, but depending on my finacial situation, we'll see what happens.ventrex wrote:its a tri-color system, contact me i can get you the exact paint
just curious, how much did this paint job cost you?C3Sierra_S2000 wrote:Here's mine which is Long Beach Blue from the NSX.
and just to add some eye candy to this thead
I am real close to $10,000 for this paint job. However there was a lot of work done and most of that is labor. The whole car was stripped down, windows removed, interior completely removed, engine will be pulled and the bay painted (haven't done this yet was waiting on getting my new motor). This price also includes the parts which were a new hood, new quarter panel, replaced the hard top roof with a factory sunroof skin and installed factory sunroof and I bought a complete K's Aero body kit. The car was blocked down twice before paint and was panel painted so there are no tape lines on this car anywhere. The trim was sanded and painted, the taillights were sanded and cleared. Also a new radiator support will be installed. Oh and the trunk had to have the stock holes welded shut and the new holes drilled for the JDM spoiler. The pics of the car at the show was the day after we put the car back together and it was not even sanded, buffed, or waxed yet. This paint also will cost you more due to it being a 3 stage paint so essentially everything gets painted 3 times.240TT wrote:

Thats correct. I think it is the same from 03 up but I could be wrong. But is is called Long Beach Blue. This color is amazing in the light.Keep it clean wrote:Very nice blue. I was hoping someone would have the nsx color on it. It comes from the 2005 nsx right?
Since we were pulling the glass for paint and the rear quarter had to come off it actually wasn't that much more work to have done and I wanted a factory sunroof. I also forgot to add that it included all new window seals since the glass was rempoved.irax wrote:**** probably would of cost way less if you didn't install a 'factory sun roof skin'
It really depends on how much body work you have done. If your car is fairly straight you could probably do it for half the cost. My car actually has almost $2000 in materials alone. This paint is not cheap. It really comes down to how good you want it to look and how much you are willing to spend. This car will be a promotional car for my business I will be starting soon so I want it to be as perfect as I can get it.tramp_drift240 wrote:so itll cost around 10k, or less, if i get whatever shop to pull out all the glass, the motor, and already have all the interior out?
ive really been thinking about this because i dont want an incomplete paint job. i want it all done. i dont like when you open a door or remove a panel or something, a different color to jump out at you.
Thanks, it is even better in person out in the sun. I have been wanting to paint something this color for a while and when I saw the lines of the 240 I knew it would work on it. I am very happy with the results.White Comet wrote:wow that long beach blue is the best blue i've ever seen. i'd go with that color but i already have the paint supplies for daytona blue
Most shops these days don't want to do all that work. Shops make money faster and easier doing insurance work. My buddy has a body shop that did mine and he is doing more and more customs which is why he and I are going into business doing only custom work. We will be officially starting the business up next Spring but if you wanted your car done and don't mind bringing it down to GA then we could get it fixed up for you. Shoot me an email if you are interested.tramp_drift240 wrote:is it hard to find a place that'll take everything off to a bare shell, paint, then reinstall everything? doesnt seem like too common of a body shop would pull the motor for the engine bay, all the glass, etc.
i really would like that done though.
Hey bro whats your name? I'm originally from Leesburg, Ga.C3Sierra_S2000 wrote:
