here's the deal, i got $1600 saved in the bank from just saving for whatever happens. Im into my car, but not as much as i used to be. I would like it to work well and have a bit of power but it seems as though the SR is the only way to go.

I have a good job and make a lot of money, but i have bigger plans to move out and if i did anything to my car i think the biggest thing would be getting another KA engine for cheap to replace my 203,000 mile ka that i have now. Again, just so it will keep running.

Im not planning on spending any of my $1600 on the 240, yet i would like to put some more money into it just for the heck of it. What do you think?? what would you do?

heh, what would I do?

purchase a S'AFC II and some big injectors that you can move into your next engine when the time comes, beit KA-T or SR. Maybe even a nice walbro 255lph fuel pump since it never hurts right. 300zx fuel filter sounds fun too. That should provide you with that feeling of waking up in the morning ready to play with your new toys!

purchase a nice turbo exhaust. Personally I would go with the apexi dual N1, and later do some custom work to run one off the turbine and one off the wastegate. Sounds like a fun idea to me.

then you gotta decide SR or KA-T. Seriously, if you can find a great low milage KA somewhere, why not? If things start breaking soon and your tight on cash, replace it with a great low milage babied KA and move your toys over to that one, and save up for the big turbo stuff.

Thats what I would do anyhow, since you asked ;)

hmm, just stick w/ maintaining it until it reaches 300K miles!

<btw> any daily drivers that has reached this goal? I know members in the 200K area already (ones w/ working odometers, that is...)

Yea, save that up for your future engine swap, if needed... n prioritize on moving out.

If you're car still feels like it needs a new toy, I suggest a short shifter <unless u have an automatic>. That's what I'm planning to do when my daily driver reaches the 200K mark.

no way methodchris that's crazy. Maybe ill set the record for highest 240 original miles? The girl before me had it only to commute, so that's good.

it's possible to hit 300k, but I didn't even get to 150k on my original SOHC. Disappointed, but I'm now sporting a rebuilt SOHC

possible? did any1 here actually do it?

wha happen, Alt, the infamous timing chain rattle o death hit it?

I caught mines in time; chain only ate thru the plastic tensioner guide...around 133k. ~12K more to go B4 I give my car the short shifter; just to see if it'll feel like a newer car.
