i got this base model 95 240sxim purchasing it this weekend but i test drove the car and it makes a pop like sound in the rear when u change gears...i dont think its the muffler..but the guy said its some bushings in the differential or something..

no thats a backfire. The o2 or CAT may be sour.

is that bad? how much will it cost me to fix it? man hours? or can it be done by myself ...what damage can it do to the car enternally in a long run

'm not sure what it is but I don't think it's a backfire. Backfires typically happen while your in gear and idling down. Could be in the diff or a loose suspension component.

i remeberd it only does that pop sound while running or changing gears...when its idling it doesnt pop or if i rev it whiile the gear is in nuetral it doesnt pop... only after i stepp on the gas after i change the gear

Have you cleaned the reeds in the air induction unit? There's a hose that runs to the air filter and connects to a small box that connects to another metal box. Inside that metal box, you'll find a pair of reeds. Clean em and see how that goes.
