Got a '92 240 with a ka24de that has 188k on the motor. Body is good. Local oval track has started drifting comps. Looking to take this beater off the road and put it on the track. Any and all suggestions to make this thing go for cheap (and maybe not so cheap) are welcome. I have done alot of work on other vehicles (my pride was a 97 gst that pulled high 13's in the quarter on a stock turbo and no NOS) so I know my way around. Thanx for the help all.
addendum: My plans already include weldin the spline/diff, shelling the interior, side piping/hood piping the exhaust (that would be original, hood piping a four banger, riot), caging it, rear batt relocation w/ emergency cut, fuel cell, cut hood to mount shorty intake, porting the throttle body, finding some sort of coil-over (research forthcoming), full poly bushing upgrade, upper and lower strut bracing (other suspension stiffing as well), 5 lug conversion on the rear, perhaps eliminating the rear hydro brake system while keeping the ebrake active (is this a good idea. Opinions...), rolling the rear fenders to accomodate for a larger wheel and tire setup, new clutch (stage 2?)...rattle can paint job? LOL. more?
