Btw you mean the Air intake filter that connects to the MAF. The Air Itake manifold is the Big metal part that looks like it COULD be a header. For SOHC 240's its on the left.. says ECCS on the top i belive. for stock ones.

The above photo wiring appears to be 3-4-2-1. Incorrect.

This is correct.

This is not.
#1 is top forward. If you want you can confirm which one is #1 by turning the engine manually until the tdc mark on the crankshaft is at the timing mark. The distributor should point to #1 plug contact.

YOu have been a great help to me this whole time scotty.

I was trying to make this all easyier by putting up the pcitures.

Which it seems it did ( i also liek how you knoticed my tape markers )

So i HAD it in the correct order last week. I tried EVER SINGLE POSITION with my Dizzy.

It would cough. Fire a little bit... but never fully start. So would you suggest i try the ecm... maybe swap out an ecu... (just throwing s*** out there dont hat eme) or somethign else crazy.

I mean i could just be being impatient and not letting it

I only have so much time to work on her. I get out of work at 2.

Im home by 230. it gets dark at 4-5. I can only do so much.. And i really want to fix her on my own.. You know ?

yea the way you got it flipped is right but turn the distributor cap the same way so the little screw holes in the drawn picture match up with the screw in the real picture above.

so its definitely like this when your looking under your hood straight at the cap ........1......2.....c......3......4. ........

The part i am talking about is made of plastic its black and connects to the MAF and to the intake metal manifold, yes part that reads eccs. its before the intake manifold and after the MAF, it runs across the radiator shrouding

and the reason i am asking you suck a strange question is if its not on while you trying to start the car, it wont. A lot of people take them off to work on the car because you can see better without and you can get in there better. I knew someone that bought a 240sx just like yours and mine and he could not get it to start because he did not have THAT part of the intake, the reason being is the guy who sold it to him had some cold air intake on it and took it off when he sold it to him and didn't put the original one back on.
