my friends got 2 240's that thier putting s14 and s15 enging swaps they think that it would be an easy swap has anyone ever tried this and how do you think it would run togetherever thought if it??i looked at it and thier intake tube are bigger than the frontier ones and it looks like a go just lots of sensors and vacum lines on the frontierthe biggest problem i saw was the fuel injectorshehe

anyone ever done heard thought about thisany feed back appreciated...

i got 98frontierhe has a 93 240 we also thought that if they were too different we might try looking into newer model 240's in junkyards....

thanks!

I did it to my Frontier, and here are the pics. They are in the my truck album. If you do this, you have to eliminate the power steering, because the water temp sensors are pointing in the wrong direction, and interfere with the pump bracket.John

I pulled it off of a '95, but you'll need a TB from the OBD II later models. It can work with the '95 TB, but if you want to keep the WOTS on the TPS, you need a later one. I have a '95 TB, as well, and the WOTS connector is just sitting empty. You can keep the EGR, as well, but I did not. I have not yet resistored the connector, either. You must also disect the 240SX TPS connector, and insert the correct wire into the correct port on the truck's harness. The rest is actually pretty smooth. You will either need to add extensions to the fuel lines, or simply buy new hose to make the extra reach. You have to use the 240SX fuel rail, also, but the stock truck injectors just drop right in. Swap the FPR's, too, if possible, so that the truck runs at the correct fuel pressure (I think the 240SX rail operated under slightly higher pressure).John

Not a problem, man. It's really not a hard swap, I prepped the 240 manifold first by cleaning it up with a wire wheel, and carb spray. I ended up using the throttle bracket, and cable from the 240, because the truck cable is too short. They have identical ends on them, and share the same fastener through the firewall. I capped the heater hose connections between the manifold outlet neck, and the thermostat housing inlet. Both were like a 5/8" or 3/4" cap with hose clamp. If you plan on keeping the heater hose connections, just run new hose to the connections at the firewall. I also just clamped one of those little breather filters onto the IAC tube, instead of adding the steel tube extension and hose to the intake pipe. If the IAC stepper motor is missing, just use the one off of the truck manifold, they are identical. If you have the 240SX engine wiring harness, you can use the connections from the IAC pigtail to extend to the truck connections (They are too short to reach). It is all very straight forward, though. Nothing about is confusing, you see it, you know how to do it.John

I was moving the pics to our website, I just hosted them in picture trail for some guys who wanted to see them before the site was live. I'll have some back up shortly. My turbo system was paid for piece-meal, as it was the first of its kind for the Frontier. I purchased the T3/T04E Super 50 trim Ceramic Ball Bearing turbo with .63 A/R and stage III wheel, cast manifold, Deltagate MK II kit, Godzilla BOV, Spearco 2-231 liquid/air intercooler, intercooler water pump, T-bolt clamps, and silicone hump hoses all from Turbonetics for about $3000, after shipping, even. I'm a Turbonetics dealer, and get pretty good prices on all their stuff. Those are the components of the stage IV kit that my company produces. We go through other channels for our intercooler piping, exhaust piping, fuel system upgrades, engine internals, etc.John

Thanks!! I'll have to pass through there, I hear it's a good info spot for a lot different things. Been at TUNFS for quite a while, now. Since they are dedicated to the trucks, the traffic there is pretty healthy. Got pop in and out of all of them though. I hit Zilvia.net, and Tampa Racing a fair amount now, too, amongst others. I really need a life!John
