I had a problem starting my 240sx. It is a 1989 with a 97 ka24de. I checked the battery at autozone and they said its good. It cranks but wont start sometimes. I checked the wires for the alternator and starter. I picked up some fuel system cleaner hoping that maybe that will help if it's a fuel problem. It idles really rough right now. Also when I accelerate it sounds like my engine is still in neutral while it accelerates very slowly. My throttle response is really slow. Any ideas guys?

If the car cranks, but doesnt start, then you have a spark or fuel porblem.

It would only be a starter issue if the car cranks very slowly all the time or not at all. To know for sure, tap the end of the starter motor with a hammer kinda medium like just before cranking the motor. If the car starts up just perfectly, then its the starter you have to replace.
