Do a part number cross reference on the bearings and grease seal for the truck and the 240 hub rotor assembly. If they match it might work.

Yes, you would call a parts store to do a parts number check on both vehicles. That's what I meant by doing a part number cross reference.

I certainly didn't imply that you should take a 240 and a hardbody apart to compare the numbers. That's just dumb.

But I am curious. What is driving your decision to change 6 lugs to 5?

But if you can find a machine shop to re-drill and machine splines your axle flanges then go for it.

im thinking of goin 5 from 6 to get alil more wheel options i like alot of 6 lug wheels but i like alot more 5 lug wheels but i really dont know where to look to from more 6 lug wheels that i might like i could be just spending more and time that is not needed because im not look in the right place

I see......The switch from 6 to 5 lug is not a cheap prospect. The custom machining alone usually runs 60-85.00 per hour.

My advice is to stick with the 6 lug variety of wheels.

What style are you looking for? Smooth dish, spoke type, modular?

Maybe post a link for a wheel design you like in the 5 lug style and lets go from there. I don't mind helping out wth this one.
