240 Help, Please...

I just bought at 90 240sx, i believe it has the ka24(e), not to sure though the car works fine only problem is that when i try to floor it a lil it lags and almost acts as if i couldnt drive stick like it jolts forword a little like its lacking gas intake or spark ignition has anyone had this problem? and has anyone ever boosted this engine without any swaps? if so with what turbo,thanks for your interest

haha you just got the car and its having acceleration problems and you are talking about boosting it..lol im just messin with you man..well lets see..it jolts forward like you cant drive it huh? in what gear/gears? sounds like fuel cut..are you running rich at all? if not then it is possible you are running lean a.k.a. fuel cut..maybe your 1 or 2 of your injectors arent putting in the fuel because they are shot. Check your fuel filter it may be clogged..and can you here your fuel pump priming when you turn the key on?

i have two 92s and the fuel pumps on both went bad with the same results, so i highly recommend checking your fuel pressure.

Try doing a general tuneup first:- new spark plugs- new fuel filter- new air filter- new distributor cap/rotor- new plug wires (optional)- check ignition timing- check for vacuum leaks; use a vacuum gauge

Its seeming almost between a new clutch cuz the clutch is very sensitive an if your not in the right speeds itll shake during acceleration, or fuel lines have been clogged cuz everything else per's, it just catches a little on something... PS ive always have driven manuel cars so even though this passage suggest that i just need to learn how to drive, i asure you that the car has a small fixable default
