that was figured out in another thread - it's the blue relay behind your radio console wrapped in the brownish sheathing. Replace the unit or solder/fix it.

Check the orange/black wire, 1 side will get volt, the other side will not when you turn on the headlights.

"The brights" & manual method work because it goes through a different wire.

The "long" version:

zerothread?id=93611

If that doesn't help, then I'm stumped.

If it did help, you may want to search harder next time guys...

Umm... what?

Hold on, what ARE you talking about? lol

You post about S15 in a Kouki vs. Zenki thread? What in the world does S15 have to do with either? There was only one model of S15, silly.

He was refering to the fact that you were very curt with people in that thread too... I think.

If I'm curt with you, it's because time is a factor here. I think fast, I talk fast, and I need you guys to act fast if you want to get out of this. So, pretty please, with sugar on top, cut me some freaking slack.

so what about if the lights are stuck open? i have a friend with an 89, his lights turn on fine, but they wont go down whenever they're turned off, not even with the button thats on the left side of the steering wheel. could that be the blue relay thing you guys talkin about?

check the thread i mentioned... Nistech is the MAN w/ this. Also, if you read through it, you can use the multimeter testing idea through the wires listed there and in the FSM. You would of course be checking the "off" wires instead of the "on" wires... all of which are listed either in that thread somewhere... or in the FSM.
