new to the club but reading some of the forums has helped me in the past , thank you very much. my 93 240 has been sitting for a while because of an idle problem ,it gets warm and fluctuates when i push the clutch in.i got a truck for winter and now am trying to get my 240 on the road again. originally i replaced the distributor to fix the fluctuating low idle problem, didn't help but it started to shut off just when idleing. replaced the iacv after reading some forums and that stopped the low idle fluctuating problem, but it still just shuts off after it reaches operating temp.then i replaced the fuel pump because it showed faulty pressure but it did not seem to change much. next i am going to try and test the fuel pressure regulator at the end of the fuel rail and see what happens. any info will be greatly appreciated. :gotme

Hey just my experience here but if it runs fine up to operating temp check if you still have spark. Whenever I've had a coil fail it tends to screw up when the under hood temps are hot.

Definitely check the fpr next take a look at the temp sensor for the ecu. Not the gaugen one. (The one your ltook I for is the bigger of the 2 rectangular shape one its usually red) I've seen those sensors do some very weird things.

Can you keep it alive if you press the gas? When the car is cold its in a "loop" mode till it warms up. Hints what leans me towards the temp sensor. Did this problem just all of a sudden happen or did you buy the car this way?

Definitely could be this. Check your actual coil tho. You can have spark but not strong spark. There's a few write ups on this.
