The work began on my car on friday to get an engine rebuild. I'm hoping to have it back soon, and I can't wait. I just thought I'd share this useless piece of information to all of you.

What kind of rebuild write-up would you really need? ... Rebuilding an engine is rebuilding an engine.

If your gonna do it I'd rely on a FSM cause you'll need specific torque specs, etc.

How much is the rebuild costing you?

rebuild kit cost me 260, a complete gasket kit was 125 and all the valves/springs I needed to repair the head was 50.

Sound like pretty good prices to me. What brand rebuild kit are you using. Are you doing all the work yourself? I was thinking about rebuilding my old engine after I put the new one but I want to have a good idea of what I am getting into first.
