i was driving around for awhile and i noticed the engine making a clicking noise and i also noticed that the engine was WAY overheating, like of the charts, so i decide to return home asap. along the way i took the freeway and i noticed that the noise was constant through all rpm and that the car would not pull at all, like if it were slowly dying off. i was gunning it and it go past 50 mph in any gear. right before the car died i saw the alot of white smoke from the back and the front of the car. when the car died it just shut itself of while i was in the middle of the freeway. i tried starting it but the starter was fine but the engine never sounded like it was turning at all. what can be wrong with my car? someone please help me.i'm a noob so this is way over my head right now but i wanna learn. its horrible without my 240, i'm stuck with a minivan now....the pain!!

WELCOME.....To the wonderful world of "blown motor". Located just south of Engine Rebuild. Dont be afraid to take part in local activities such as: seized pistons, scored cylinder walls, warped head and burned valves! But wait, chances are you missed blown head gasket and dead water pump! They only make limited appearances. In all seriousness bro, you need a new or rebuilt engine. If it locked while you were actually driving, the insides are probably toast. However, if the rotating assembly did not sieze, it may be salvageable.Probably not what you wanted to hear. Sorry.
