ok, so I've been looking to buy a 240 for about 3 months now. Got all my research in and everything, but I'm now wondering if it is worth it to get a 240 right now.

Do 240's (as well as all cars) decrease in price as winter rolls around? Also, how much would a 95 240 depreciate from now until next summer.

I'm asking this because I want to buy a 240 right now, but I'm not sure if it is worth it. I won't be able to drive it basically until next summer, so it will just sit for a season. BUT, on the other hand, since I will be under my parent's insurance, their plan actually decreases 200 every 6 months when I add a 95 240sx on.

So, if a 95 240 does not depreciate more than 200 by the start of next summer or next spring, it would be more worth it for me to get a 240 now.

Also, I have one in mind but I need someone to check a VIN for me, if anyone has carfax.

VIN: JN1AS44D7SW020963

I'm aware it's an auto :-(, but I'm planning on doing the 5 speed conversion. :-). Sorry it's so long~!

hey, since you're talking about vin numbers, can someone check this one for me? JN1AS44D9TW053996 I'm about to buy it and i just want to make sure it's ol. The guy im buying it from seems cool, but there are some things that are shady for me. All the pictures he've sent me dont show the front of the car and when i said i could pick it up the next day, he said he has to do a brake change (it's a bit weird, that someone spends more money on the car that he's selling anyway?) And i takes him few days to do it, and then he was looking for the vin number for 2-3 days before he gave it to me, then he wanted me to go there around 6, when it gets dark and was surprised that i wanted to do it during the day, so i can see it in the daylight, then that mysterious brake change, that took him a while... i dont know, so im a little bit nervous, i guess you dont spend 4500$ everyday... I know Im bugging tha f... out, but i just wanted to make sure everything's ok... Thanks, if you want to see some pics of my new ride, go to http://forums.pointsofauthorit...st=0& and i'll update that as soon as i'll get it...-----------------------------------1996 Black 240sx SE111K miles5 speedbremobo brakesleathersound system w/o speakers for 4500$is it worth it?Thanks all

Hey yoozef,

I'm sorry I missed this earlier in the week but I was meeting with suppliers and taking tests all week. ricebike responded on your other one but I saw that you already found a way. I'll get you next time. Good luck on the 240/
