I don't like to think in a one car mentality. Thats just me. There are many cars that are better than the 240 and a lot that are worse. I have this strange atraction to them thus I own one, but I can totally see why people would want other cars. I love the 240 but if I had the money I would also like a great many other cars.
The 240sx is way better designed, but if he wants to do swapping and body modding the fiero can be pretty cool.
My biggest problem is, you have room for 1.9 people in a fiero and nothing else. Two seats, two engine bays, no trunk. With my 240 i can put crap in the back seats, i've got two 10" subs in the hatch-cargo area, and theres still mad room for stuff. In a pinch we took 4 rather large guys in my car, it was at least possible. Straight outta the factory, its a POS. But a Vette engine and a slick body mod and its way cool. My friends 4 cyl fiero, i can get out and run faster than it.

The Fiero does have a "trunk". Not so much a trunk as a space for stuff. Being mid-engine, there's room behind the engine. You can't fit even one golf bag down there, but it's large enough for anything you'd need on a daily basis.
1.9 people? If it didn't have such a large console and thick door panels, 3 people would easily! Plenty of room for two people.
