How can a good burnout be done on a 240? i know that on FWD cars you put on the parking brake and release the clutch when your engine is revin high. well 240's are RWD, do you hit the brakes? just curious.

drop the clutch, or position your foot to push on gas, and brakes and drop the clutch.

The easiest way I think is to hold the clutch in and push on the gas and rev it above 3 grand and then drop the clutch.

you braley use your back brakes....i mean have you seen how small they are! they cant stop ur wheels while your on it full throttle. Rev to above 4....dump the cluth, then go straight to your brake with ur left foot...you dont have to brake hard...just light taps to keep you in place.

Keep in mind that if you dont have a limited slip you will only spin one tire and it will pretty much be a waste of tread cause it doesnt look too cool.

What I do is I rev to about 3-3.5k then pop the clutch immediately flooring the gas and flooring the brake... it sits there and will burn all day if I choose to. Sometimes I can get both tires to spin too...

This was done on really ****ty ground so it actually was a tad more difficult to do the burn... http://www.disruptedperception...n.wmv

Here is my same technique with a Ranger...http://www.disruptedperception...n.wmv

PS.. having friends that trust you with their cars is a very nice thing :)

He was asking how to do a burnout. im assuming if he wants to sit there spinning the tires looking cool, he doesn't care about his rotors, brake pads, and tires.

S13 Power a line lock system or an anti roll system which ever you call it is the safest way to do burnouts without warping rotors or wearing out your brakes. Its how the pros do it.

mike i dont know if this is what your talking about but here i go with my idea.

they make a thing thats like a E brake for the front brakes. most muscle cars use that. you find a way to mount it to your shifter. and then hold it down. rev her up and drop that ****** like theres no tomorrow. so no tread, no gas, but no warped rotors :ylsuper

Yes that is called a line lock, you put a solenoid operated valve for the front brakes, put pressure in the lines by pressing the brake pedal, then turn on the solenoid and let off the brakes, this should keep pressure on the fron brakes and non on the back..

so can anyone give me more info on this line lock? Who makes it and and estimated price? Any links?....So cars with Limited Slip only burn one wheel? My friends accord does that.

You can make it yourself or find plans for it.... it's a relatively easy operation...

Limited slip does both wheels... open differential does one wheel. Your friend's Accord does not have a LSD.

I've never heard of the term line lock being used in drift. I know it's used to refer to a solenoid installed in your front brakes that will close when activated to keep pressure on the front brakes only. It makes burnouts for RWD cars easy as hell.:icon18
