would cutting and welding it ruin the structural integrety of the car...mess up the alignment?

professionally done it can be cut in precise points and be replaced without affecting the integrity of the unibody.

i found a 240 at a junk yard for 500 to fix my car with and that broke me i just wanna know how to fix this the cheapest way i can

I do not have the specific info on it. your best bet would be to contact a body shop about that specific repair.

what the do is where you can see where the seams are in the rocker panel at those points is where you seperate it, you need to seperate the over lapping peice without damaging the underlying piece then weld you new piece in its place.

so basicaly just remove the damaged piece and only the damaged piece without harming anything else.

would you recomend a plasma cutter or what to remove the piece. a body shop would tell me how to fix it without charging?

i think i'm going to suck up my pride and have that piece profesionaly installed. i like doing things on my own but that may be a little bit more then i could handle.
