Wanted to see about bigger brakes on a stock front hubs?
A little back story, Building a Datsun Roadster resto mod. Thinking of using 240 front hubs(easier to find parts). Making new upper/lower control arms for adding camber/caster plus running a coil over.

Wheels I have are 15x8 with 0 off set. Wondering what choices I have for calipers? Could I run a Brembo caliper off some other car? Is the 300tt caliper the best/easiest way?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Z brakes may be tricky with those wheels. Q45 is another option or J30 brakes.

Also, EVO brembos fit with an adapter bracket, but size may be an issue...

Thanks

I will start looking for a pair of Brembos to see about fitment. Must say the idea of seeing the big red calipers behind the rim is cool.

If you are after a 15" wheel fitment, the brembo setup will be too big diameter wise. Your best bet if you want to have a four piston setup is z brakes. If you don't minde a two piston setup, the q45 setup opens up your wheel options but still gives you ample braking ability.

Z32 TT or N/A brakes are identical save a few ounces of weight as one is iron and the other aluminum. The brake MC is also different. Nonetheless the Z32 brake is the best bang for the buck in my mind. I've ran both irons and aluminums and like them both equally although the aluminums may be a hair better (by hair i mean hardly noticeable) get which ever you prefer and be content with a awesome front brake set up for next to nothing compared to aftermarket calipers. I'm running Project Mu CRD rotor and Type NS400 pad in my S14 and absolutely love the grip of the brakes!!!

for a good brake setup you need 16in+ size wheels. z32 brakes are ok.
