240 been sitting for 8+ months...will it start...

so im almost done rebuilding my motor and should be installing engine and trans soon(nothing special, just rebuilt stock ka)...my question is will my 240 run if everything was done correctly? I have about a 1/4 tank of gas but it's been sitting for 8+ months, would the gas go bad in such time to the point of not starting? What ya guys think?

if the battery is good itll run. it takes awhile for gasoline to gel...and im talking years.

But there can be condensation in the tank....i.e. water in the gas. Might wanna change it.

Gas will be bad, it will still run, may be rough but should be able to drive to gas station and fill upwith some premium. Fuel filter might be bad though

didnt use any fuel stabilizer? if your tank was 1/4 full and sitting for 8 months...there will most likely b condensation in the tank. probably will have trouble starting

My 240 was sitting for just over four years when I bought it. I stuck a battery in it and drove it home. Since then I have cleaned the tank and got all the fluids changed.

Same for me, but drove it from NY to PA. found it in a used car lot in a shed, not even for sale. He said it was sitting there for 5 years.

Both 240s I've purchased have sat for 12+ months untouched, and through a harsh winter. First one started with just a boost and ran great, the second (and current) I knew the fuel pump was bad because the seller told me (and my tests proved it). Changed the pump, boosted, started and ran great.
