^^^Damn, straight! I will never understand why people like fwd so much...skydragoness wrote:With snow tires the 240 is nearly unstoppable, esp. with the stock rally car ride height Contrary to popular belief w/ the proper tires rwd and awd do better than fwd's
Well, that's true to a certain extent, but a fwd car isn't going to spin out near as easy as a rwd car.skydragoness wrote:With snow tires the 240 is nearly unstoppable, esp. with the stock rally car ride height Contrary to popular belief w/ the proper tires rwd and awd do better than fwd's
Yes. I'm assuming in TX you don't get much snow.. if at all.d!ck wrote:

That's why i said when the 240 is equipped w/ snow tires. You will not spin out with snow tires, if you do its because your'e driving like a idiot or your'e driving on a sheet of ice (and no drivetrain wins in that situation anyway). I drove my friends 88' Z31 with Michelin X-Ice snow tires, you couldn't get that car to spin/lose traction in light to moderate snow unless you tried.. really hard. FWD has the inherent flaw that the wheels that steer are also the wheels that give the vehicle traction. Their predisposition towards understeer are exaggerated in the snow and rain. That's not to say fwd sucks in the snow, obviously they have a weight/traction advantage, but once things get hairy its a lot harder to get out of it. They definitely would benefit w/ snow tires like any 2WD would.JimmyMethod wrote:
