for those of you that don't know ive been slowly piecing my ka back together for some time now. its finally complete but she still wont start . it makes the normal starting sound but in the back round theres another noise. its hard to explain what the noise sounds like. kind of like an airy cupping sort of noise i dont know. i was hoping someone else knew what the noise was. my dad said it might be slightly out of time

theres a hose thats unconnected on the bottom of my motor maybe thats to blame? im unsure what the hose is for but i cant get to it. you can see it if you look through the intake manifold. it connects to some sort of rail. what is the "rail" and is it imperative that the hose has to be connected to it?

Make a youtube video if possible.. could be out of time and the cams are closed at the wrong moment not letting air in.. or whatever..

Well obviously if something down there is unplugged you have a vacuum leak which will cause your motor to run like crap. So whatever it is, figure it out and plug it back in to the appropriate spot. It will probably fix whatever is wrong.

Sounds like it might be your PCV hoses that branch off your intake manifold, however I don't know without better description or pictures.

one vacuum line thats unattached would make it not start? i would connect the line if i knew how. i would either have to take the intake manifold apart and connect it or have a coordinated child reach down there and put the hose on. im fresh out of children and i REALLY dont want to take the intake manifold apart. im praying thats its not important!

if its a vacume hose you need to either connect it or block off the port on the im (assuming whatever is on the other end isnt important)also could you be talking about the fuel rail?? if so engines kinda need fuel to run...
