240 2jz guys...

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Has anyone weighed the car after the 2jz swap? What is the largest rear tire or rim setup you can run to harness the power? Is there anything you would do different in your swap? mounts used etc?How much power will the stock rear diff take?axles? what are the upgrades?

Mine weights 2850 without me in it and a full tank of gas. It's a 92 SE model. I don't have a spare tire/jack or carpet from the rear seats back. No AC either. I am running 255-50-16's. With a 4:11 rear I am just about out of 4th gear at the end of the 1/4. I have a q45 diff to put in that will give me more speed in 4th then I will ever need. I am currently making 440 whp @ 15 psiI have upgraded to 1000cc injector twin walbro's using e85. Once it warms up I plan to run 20-25 psi. (A j30 3.9 diff would problaby work well and is much easier to find/install)

As for the mounts I did them myself by cutting the stock crossmember. The mounts are nothing more then hockey pucks with a large bolt holding everything to gether. So it's kinda a solid mount.

Is that the widest tire you can fit under the s13?Are 4:11 the stock gear ratio in the 240's?What did you run in the 1/4?trap?

Yes it is a fastback.

I am sure I could go wider I was going for a taller tire so I could aleast have a decent trap speed. My best pass is a 12.1 @ 121. Stock gear is 4.08:1My current rear is from an R32 GTS and it's a 4.11:1

J30 with it's correct axles is pretty much bolt in afair.

The Q45 (90-94) you need Q45 hubs, Drivers side q45 axle, drivers side z32tt axle, and you need to redrill the input flange for the s13 driveshaft.

Care to detail more about the mounts?....I like the hockey puck idea....so you have a 2JZ on the stock crossmember just by cutting and rewelding it?

Hmmmm

I fitted the 2jz to the stock S13 crossmember. I used the stock 2jz aristo mounts and the drivers side started to come apart. I then took 3 hockey pucks to put in place of the stock drivers side mount. I see some 4wd trucks use this setup for body mounts. I may replace them with solid metal bushings in the future. The s13 crossmemer is cut at the stock mounting points. They are the two bumbs that the stock ka mounts go though. I place of them are flat plates.
