24"x12"x3" FMIC too big?

Hey guys i got a intercooler kit for really really cheap and it came with a intercooler that i think is too big. I am running 10psi on the CA with a sr t25. I have a track event coming up in a few weeks and i was wondering if i should run the front mount? Im scared i might run into turbo lag issues but i am not really sure how bad it would actually be. The intercooler is 24inches x 12inches x 3inches. I appreciate your opinions.

I ran one that size for a while. It was a little laggy, but nothing horrible.
