235 wide on a 7" rim???

I am looking at some snow tires on e-bay and wondering if they will fit on my rims... Stock tires are 215-55-17 and the snow tires are 235-50-17. They are a little wider then stock, think they will fit? (don't care about the looks for the winter)

Yes your fine I have 235/40/18s and fit nicely with no mods...a bit stiffer but still fit....but your tires are a lot thicker than mine so the lower profile tires doesnt mean anything to you in your situation.

the 17" rims are 7" wide, I believe the 18" rims are 8 inches wide though.
