Hey guys.

Just wondering if 225/60ZR15's are OK on a Q? It's not a drastic difference is it?

I have those on my 92, my dad put them on when he owned the car. Made a nice difference in handling and they look better too. However, if it was done by me I'd have put 245 or 255 on there but than you've gotta drop down to 45 series.

I think if you want the same basic ride than 225 60 is a good way to go and for sure you will not experience any problems.

Yep, works fine. Slightly smaller overall diameter so speedo will read about 2 mph high at 60-80 mph.

What tire are you looking at? Yokohama AVS Int in 225/60/15 are about $45 each at tirerack... summer only, but fabulous performance tire!

Funny thing is when I went from stock tire to AVS dB 225/60-15, the GPS said the speed was exact at 70 mph. haven't tested at other speeds. Indicated 60, 70, 80 & 90 mph were right on with old tires.

Pressures are 38 psi front and 35 psi rear.

Each speedometer in each car will vary as to calibration afterall it is just a mechanical volt meter reading the rpm of the driveshaft.

Tires will vary as to brand in the same published size plus inflation and load [whether used on front or rear] will change the absolute rolling diamter.........new vs worn out will be 1-2% difference.

215/65/15, 225/60/15, and 235/60/15 are all suitable sizes
