225/40 tire on an 8" or 8.5"+ rim ok?

What's the largest width I can run a 225/40 tire on, I suppose w/o "stretching" it too much.

8.5" would be as wide a wheel as I'd go..you could use a 9"..but that'd be pushing my personal preferences for tire section width v. wheel width..an 8" wide wheel would be "ideal", with a 8.5" being the next closest (I wouldnt go narrower)-Chet

Now I know what wheels I can temporarily run (replacing current rims w/ parada spec 2's for a temp 5 lug rims) - had to start budgeting myself, haha.
