Can someone, anyone please fill a void in my knowledge of cars. I just got some tein stechs, kyb agx's and am ready to buy a new set of rims and tires. One problem, I don't know diddley squat about all those #'s. Tire sizes, offsets, +20, -30, whatever...what? Also, I have a 95 240 that these are going on and would like to find out about some common sizes that are good for a car lowered about an 1". Please, help me out...and in english! Much appreciated.

Gunna move this to the right forum (Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tires) and suggest you start reading some the of the FAQ's at the top of that forum.

Welcome to NICO, btw.

It all depends on your style. MOst people on this board will tell you to run 17x8 +30 with a 235-45-17 tire

Me personally front 17x9 +10 225-45-17 Rear 17(track) or 18(street)x10 +20 with a 245-40-18. I like sizes like that real wide stance

Also there is a FAQ on the top of the threads page read that like 7 times until you get it in your head, all the info is there

I have 215/45's on my 8.5's and 235/40's on my 9.5's. Where did you find 225/40's? The only ones in that size that I can find are some overpriced Nitto's...
