I'm looking to buy a set of 22's or possibly 20's, but I want to get as many ideas as I can for M's that have 22's on them. Can everyone post pictures of their 06+ M's with 22's on them? Please include the following if possible:

- Brand and model
- Wheel dimensions (width & offset)
- If a G37 BBK would fit in the front
- Other info (high/low quality brand, rubbing issues, etc)

Thanks guys!

I agree 20's but if you're set on 22's, that is in fact a nice rim

There are way more members on here with 20s compared to 22s. Is it just due to not wanting to look too big, or have there been several people noting bad ride quality or other issues with 22s?

22's jacks up the car, needs to be really slammed to look good.

Have you driven on rubber bans before? because that's the 2nd problem.

I'm lowered on H-techs, and from some pictures of other members w/ H-techs and 22's it looks pretty good IMO.

With my old Maxima I had 245/35/19 which is about .5in more sidewall than a 245/30/22. I was happy and comfortable with the ride quality on the Maxima, and I also had the Tein Basic coilovers I believe. Would .5in less sidewall make that much of a ride quality difference?

I am open to any suggestions/comments/recommendations you guys have.

I just think 22's are too big for our cars..again just my opinion...in an ideal world, I'd probably go with 21" rims but the cost of tires is ridiculous..

The guys are here with 22's have never reported any issues with riding on them, so that shouldn't be an issue.. :dblthumb: In the end, it'll come down to your personal preference

OP, bodyguard's car is lowered on 22s & on EIBACH springs nd I seen & been in his car personally & there's no problems/rubbing unless you run through a big dip and at a substantial speed... but even when I was on eibachs & 20s I'd rub on those. Again, just like Blaze said, it's a matter of preference, I dont like them & prolly never will but that's just my opinion.

My recommendation is to get 20" real wheels, but it's ur ride tho...

If I run a 10.5" width in the rear, what offset range should I look for so the wheel won't stick out from the fender?

First off, why do u want to run a 10.5? Is it a must? Why not a 9.5... 2nd. Running 10.5" rears on our cars without a little poke is not impossible but it's very close to it...

Peep my man Marley Marl's rear set up @ 10.5" he's sticking out at +42 and I calculated already nd he killed his backspacing by 17mm, that's almost a full inch, I dont know how much further u can go back there without interfering with something, u might have to measure that yourself. My recommendation is to get a 9.5" nd a high offset & call it a day.

post6099108.html#p6099108

P.S. To answer your question dead on, if you want that 10.5" inside the fender, judging from Marley's setup, you'd have to add about 14mm (give or take based on where his wheels sit) to the +42 he's on... so that'd be 10.5" @ +56... I calculated that for our cars & you'll have 31mm (more than 1") less inner clearance, God knows if it wont interfere with something. GL.

Thanks for all the detailed info man, that really helps me out a lot. You're right, I definitely want to stay inside the fender so I'll probably go with 9 or 9.5". Ideally I want 8.5 up front and 9.5 in the back, but it's hard to find 22" wheels that have several different widths like that.

No problem man... glad you're going the 9.5" way cuz 10.5 will b a b*tch to fit back there. Well, I dont know what your budget is but there's good quality staggered 22s around... just keep looking I guess.

I just ordered these wheels in 22x9 all around. Going to get 255/30/22 Michelin Pilot Sports.

I know it's difficult for tire shops to mount tires of this size onto 22s, but does anybody have any recommendations on what types of shops I should go to? Or what questions to ask a shop to see if they are capable of doing it?

That's a good choice cuz I think they will look smaller than what 22s usually look...

As far as the shop to go to... this is very simple imo... it's all about budget, if you dont mind shelling a few extra bucks go to firestone, they wont fkuc up ur ish, if they do they'll pay for it right away or replace it. You wont lose... I have lifetime alignment & balancing packages from them on all my vehicles it's definitely a great investment. You can also ask them for a discount if you get all this stuff done up at the same time. I never buy tires from them tho, too pricey... but cant go wrong with lifetime balancing & balancing, especially when lowered. ; ) They're losing money with me, lmao...

If you go the "cheap" or mom & pops route (nothing against it) just make sure they hv a lot of customers in & out their place, that tells you people trust them & they're recommended... it's not that they cant do the job, it's that the lower the tire series, the harder it is to handle it & they usually charge the same to mount that tire as to mount a 55 series tire but it'll b more work with your tire so they'd feel cheated cuz it's more work & sometimes even turn you away.

BTW, if you go to firestone's website they usually have a coupon with a discount for lifetime alignments.

Forgiato is the manufacturer of MonoLeggera. So therefore, my wheels are correctly stated as Brand: Forgiato MonoLeggera MODEL: Concavo M

sik l maybe try surfing some truck forums or any recomended shops for tire install on 22"s in ur area. Also make sure to inspect ur wheels upon mounting and before paying. I had some problems with my wheels before and it helps to notice it b4 you leave or u'll be screwed for reimbursment
