I just bought a QX56 and was looking to put new wheels on. I found the one's I'm looking for, 22" Boss 330's in Chrome. I'm looking for 22" tires as well.

1. What are the current lug/bolt pattern and so forth I should be looking for?2. I was thinking of buying 305/40/22 or 305/45/22 tires. Which do you recommend? What are the differences?3. What inexpensive tire brand and model do you recommend? I'm looking for good wear and a comfortable ride.4. Do 22" wheels hurt the ride quality that much?

Thanks in advance for your answers..

Pete

About to buy them next week so need to know soon...

1. 6x139.72. I think you need to learn what the numbers on tires mean before you start buying them. 45 will be a little softer and less profile.3. That is an oxymoron. Cheap wheels will bend on the first bump you hit and will ruin your driving from then on out. So either pony up for some good wheels or save yourself the hassles and stick with stocks. It's a one or the other.4. Depends if you stretch the tire or not. But basically, yes. You are going to be riding on 4" more wheel and 4" less rubber...

I seriously think you should spending some time researching this before you waste a lot of money on the wrong offset wheels...

well put...don't buy something just for the looks and price...go with a higher quality...you'll be glad you did.

Save you more time and money later.

Expensive wheels bend also my friend. I had a $3000 set dead in first year. Decided to go a bit cheaper this time around if dealing with a similar outcome. Tire 'meat' more important that wheel quality IMHO. Low profile = less protection = bends...
