these guys dont care about anything except the look. that has nothing to do with the performance of the car at all. youre never going to convince them that what they did makes no sense whatsoever. its just like fools sitting in a strip club looking at fake tits and thinking how good they look. its a free country and we can do whatever we like and we do regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

2 things i cant understand on this board1. why everyone gets so upset & offended at another mans choice of accesories that he pays for with his own money for an automobile that he also paid for. road conditions and ones own driving ability seem to get ignored when talking how a vehicle handles.who ever started the topic... i love the look of the car. i wouldnt do it. to many hills here in cincy (hard enough on breaks as it is), and we get winters up here and im not that into my car to be bying winter/summer sets of wheels. but the car looks good much better than stock2. what the he77 is "ghetto" when describing vehicle accesories. the "ghetto" has inspired almost every luxury option on an automobile to date. high end audiochrome rimsgold trimmingwindow tintany set of rims 20" & upvideo screens just to name a fewi've lived in the "ghetto" my entire life and dont see many infiniti's in my hood. educate yourself people, what's "ghetto" to you will most deffinately be a highend option on a car coming soon

hey gigatt, i just realized, your car would look 10x better with a body kit! you need a body kit; you need to get rid of the mud flap thingy's, and get an aero kit;i guarantee it will enhance your ride look and put those 22's to shine!

i dont understand what you mean by this statement. are you just not a fan of 22's? or is there a particular style that you've seen and nothing else comes close to it?

Honestly, the ride looks great. How does it ride, I dont know, and I dont care, but it looks great. Dont talk smack to someone who is doing what they desire to do, he is happy, so you be happy with your ride. If you dont like the style, fine, say so, but dont tell someone they screw up or so. Commenting means expressing your opinion on whether you like the mod or not, and whether you would do it yourself, but dont attack the "stylist".

1st off, no one is attacking his ride (re-reading my previous post will reveal that)2nd, the AERO kit it a must have for any M and i think should come standard on our car (you are lying if you say otherwise)3rd if you scoll upwards towards post #6 you will see that i already made a previous statement complimenting his choice in wheels.4th............ahhh who cares,.....i corrected you enough for one evening.....

Mad? Oh noes I don't have my car listed, sure got me there. I'm not the one getting a case of Sandy V because everyone isn't kissing your a** telling you how good they look.

It's a 2006 M45 with all the options!!!! Happy now?

ya, I'm loving em. they fit perfect no rubbing at all and i had 5 people in the car Saturday night. i picked up 4 strippers with fake tits and for some reason they like the wheels. It must be the big Ghetto-ness of them.

Can u at least give a reason for why they look so s***ty. At least when I'm gonna flame people i give an explanation. Kinda like me saying, your car looks worse every time I see it because I just saw six M's on the way to work that look EXACTLY the same as yours.

Opinions have to have a reason? That's a new one to me. I've always hated oversized wheels (as in 3-4 inches over OEM, not 1-2 inch) as well as the VIP look.

If you say that about my car, I really don't care. More power to you chief. It's funny how people post pictures expecting praise and conformity from everyone, yet get butt-hurt when others say something different. I guess I can add you do that category.

First off, the wheels affect the acceleration/braking so little i cant even tell. The car handles better. I don't know what car you've been driving but my M45 isn't exactly a rocket ship and i didn't foresee me heading to the track at any point in time. Whatever performance is being affected I'm unaware of it because daily driving is no different.

What do looking at fake tits at a strip club have to do with the ride of a car with wheels? That analogy = FAIL

no, opinions don't need a reason. you just look like a d!ck tho when you say something looks bad and give no reasoning. It almost seems like jealousy. If you would've said from the start, "i don't really like those I'm not into the big wheel look". that would've worked instead of saying they're ghetto and the more you see the worse they look.

Its more of general manners then anything. you dont just flame threads b/c you dont like something. I thought you would know this as a smart ENGINEER. it didnt take you long to throw that one up there tho did it? Like you said: "If you say that about my car, I really don't care. More power to you chief". I guess we can add you to the general hater category.

Forgive me if my skills as an engineer don't translate into proper forum etiquette. Hater it is, carry on.

No. Should be perfect (slightly less than flush with the wheelwell).

Even with the 9.5 inch size? It looks like you guys riding the 9 inch with 38 offset are almost flush. You think the .5 inch would stick out?

Jesus man. Just answered your question with absolute educated clarity using math and real world examples. this is YOUR car I would not guess at such a thing of importance.

I have 9 inch wide +38mm wheels on the front of my car right now!

The half inch wich is about 12mm gets shared equally on both sides of the wheel with the same offset. +6mm on the inside, +6mm on the outside. +6mm equals about a 1/4 of a inch.

Wheel diameter has nothing to do with it. I have over a 1/4 inch between my wheelwell and the outer part of the wheel in the front as we speak, err type.

Now I'll say it again in bold english...NO.

Wow buddy, no need to get erected, ah? But anyways, your assistance is greatly appreciated and thanks much for the help. I am going to get my 22's now without worrying about fitment issues.

You will end up being perfectly flush with the wheelwells. Right now I am 6mm inside of the front wheelwells on my car. You will be adding 6mm on the outer and inner part of your wheels referenced to mine.

Good luck. I hope they come out great. BTW What kind of wheel?

Oh, make sure you do a mild drop if at all(Tein HT's).

It is the Torq Thrust Wheels, muscle car look. I am already dropped on Eibachs with the stock FX20's, so I hope it sits as nice with the 22's. We'll see. Ordering today or tomorrow. Once I install, I'll post photos.
